100% Whole Grain Khorasan Sourdough with Sesame Seeds

We fell in love with this grain the first time we tried making a 100% whole grain bread with it. We think you'll love it too!

Khorasan is considered an ancient grain, it has remained mostly unchanged for thousands of years. It is also known by the brand name of "Kamut". It is in the durum wheat family and has a golden hue and nutty/buttery flavor.  The grains are 2- 3-times the size of wheat berries. 

The grain was organically grown by Marvin Peachy, in the Larabee Valley, California. And we stone mill it fresh for baking (sifting nothing off!) We use a natural sourdough fermentation and don't use and commercial yeast.

Ingredients: Khorasan, water, toasted sesame seeds, salt, wild culture.

This product cannot be shipped, it is for Farmers' Market pick-up only. 

Available for Farmers' Market pick-up Saturday, September 16, 2023, 9 am - 1 pm.

Each loaf is about 500g (just over 1 pound).

Note: if it is pouring rain, pick-up will be at curbside at the bakery (100 Ericson Ct. Suite 100 C, Arcata, CA) 10am - 2pm
