Hey you Local Grainiacs...I've got'cha!

Beck's Whole Wheat Sourdough has always been a crowd favorite at the Farmer's Market. The problem was that it was on an 8-week rotation and folks couldn't get nearly enough of it. Well is a part of the regular line up and we've sliced it too - so it is ready for morning toast and the lunchbox!

If you are trying to cut back on animal products, you're gonna love this - it is just flour, water & salt...totally plant-based! Because we mill the grain in house, you'll get the whole grain...nothing is sifted off! Bran is the new (again) superfood!

Taste the difference local makes. Fresh "wheatiness".  Just barely sour. It is nuanced and satisfying. You are not going to find a bread like this in the grocery store. You'll need to get it as close to the source as possible. Your options are to make it yourself (which is a perfectly great option that I encourage!) or buy it from Beck's and pick it up at the Farmer's Market on Saturdays.

Ingredients: Whole wheat flour*, water, whole rye flour*, salt and whole grain culture. *=organic

This product cannot be shipped, it is for Farmers' Market pick-up only. 

Available Saturdays, 10 am - 1 pm.

Each loaf is about 900g (almost 2 pounds!)

Note: if it is raining sideways, pick-up will be at curbside at the bakery (100 Ericson Ct. Suite 100 C, Arcata, CA) 10am - 2pm

Excellent flavor and texture

My dad is obsessed with this bread!

My dad visited from New York last weekend and tried some from his Airbnb host. He was on a mission to get some to bring back home. We were lucky to fit in a last minute order. It made his day :)

Heavenly Whole Wheat

A delicious whole wheat sourdough bread, sliced and ready to toast or make a sandwich.

This bread is not only delicious but it also doesn't both my gluten-sensitive stomach. I'm not a celiac sufferer. This is not a gluten-free product. But I can enjoy a few slices per week with no ill effects. It has a nice level of sourness too. My favorite way to eat it is topped with a local goat cheese and/or avocado, sprouts, and 2 eggs for breakfast. Yum!

My new favorite bread!

This whole wheat sourdough bread is absolutely delicious. It has so much flavor and a wonderful texture. It's not heavy like you might imagine a 100% whole wheat bread to be. It's wonderful toasted and for sandwiches. It lasts a really long time on my counter without getting stale.
