Currants and toasted sesame seeds help to elevate a simple wholegrain sourdough into something with a bit more elegance and flavor nuance. It is dense, a little sweet and mildly sour (as are most of our wild-cultured breads). Made with 100% whole grains (grown by farmer Marvin Peachy, Redcrest, CA,) and a wild wheat levain culture (no commercial yeast). They get better 24-48 hours after baking. We suggest that you cut thick slices, toast & smear with almond butter!
Ingredients: whole wheat flour*, water, toasted sesame seeds*, currants*, whole grain rye chops*, whole rye flour*, whole wheat starter, sea salt. (*organic)
