Whole grain rye pairs well with chocolate (the Scandinavians have known this for generations!) We use this flour straight in our Walnut Brownies and Black Shortbread Cookies. It also make exceptional whole grain breads like Vollkornbrot and pumpernickel.

This flour is as wonderful as all flours I've purchased from Beck's. I didn't add any sweetener apart from some raisins in my rustic cake and the flour added such a natural sweetness to the finished product. Another favorite Beck's product!

You can get cheaper flour at the grocery store, if they have it.
Have you ever seen a commercial grain mill? There are rodents every where it's just a fact of life. Grain dust everywhere. Rodents do what rodents do and they don't care if that flour is going to you.
