You've never tasted whole wheat until you've tried this bread! Single varietal wheat, sustainably grown by local farmers and stoned milled on the granite grist mill at Beck's Bakery. Taste the difference that careful handling technique and slow fermentation bring to this loaf. This bread is tender, sweetened with a bit of honey and makes amazing toast or sandwiches. It weighs 2 pounds! You will definitely want to freeze this bread to help maintain its quality. Be sure to heat it before you eat it.

Other organic ingredients in this bread include non-instant milk powder, extra virgin olive oil. It also contains non GMO yeast, salt, & filtered water.

Not my favorite

the bread is heavy. Only OK for toast or a sandwich. I hate to write a less-than-rave review of any bread from Beck's as everything else I've tried (I get two loaves every week I'm in town. The honey wheat just does not measure up (in my mind).

I absolutely LOVE it!!

This is by far the best loaf of whole wheat bread I have ever had. I bake my own bread, too, but not w/ this amount of whole wheat. My whole family loves it. Perfect for anything. Thank you Rhonda!

Fine Food

I am not much of a sandwich eater but I like toast in the morning with breakfast. This bread is ridiculously good when toasted. Come to think of it it's good with preserves after dinner!

Best Basic Bread

If you want a fancy bread with "nutz'n'stuff" or more exotic flavors, this is not your loaf. But if your bread tastes were honed on Tassajara recipes, this is your match. This is simply the best basic loaf of bread I have ever tasted. Beautiful, robust wheat flavor accentuated by the subtle honey background. Just the right density without that brawny chewiness. Compliments everything from butter or nut butters to tuna or cheeses marvelously without either overtaking or subtracting flavor. When I toast it at work, everyone swoons.

A little sweet for me

And a little dense. A merger of this and the millet bread would probably create my ideal toast loaf!
