Beck's Bakery makes a mighty fine Focaccia!

We use a mixture of white flour and stone milled whole grain wheat & rye flours, fresh herbs (usually sage), and top it off with extra virgin olive oil, cracked tri-colored peppercorns and coarse French grey sea salt. For added flavor and digestibility, we ferment the dough slowly overnight before baking it.  Folks like this bread plain, or they slice it horizontally and use it as a burger bun or press it in a grill for a panini sandwich. 

Ingredients: unbleached white wheat flour*, filtered water, stone ground whole grain wheat flour*, stone ground whole rye flour*, sea salt, yeast, fresh herbs*. Topping: extra virgin olive oil*, cracked tri-colored peppercorns*, French grey sea salt. (* = organic)

This bread is available on Saturdays only for curbside pick-up, 10 am - 2 pm.

 Our bakery is in the Foodworks Culinary Center, 100 Ericson Ct, Arcata (This is the Aldergrove Business Park - behind the Renner gas station off of West End Rd.)

The bakery is on the back side of the building. Look for our little red trailer. Call us when you get here: 707-840-8004. We'll bring your order out to your car.

so Delicious

Fortunately I was able to share this bread with someone or I would have eaten the whole thing myself in 24 hours! It was delicious and flavorful.

Terrific!

I haven't had focaccia in a long time. This one is springy and so flavorful with the oil, salt and herbs. Some bites had more pepper than others, but not overwhelmingly so. We used the last of it in a breakfast overnight soufflé. Terrific!

Cracked Pepper and Herb Focaccia

We love this bread for a change of pace. Great on its own or dipped in olive oil and basalmic vinegar. Great to have on hand for entertaining (after Covid).

Delicious focaccia!

Gently heated in the oven at home, the bread developed a deliciously delicate and crunchy crust that I really enjoyed.
