This is our Aldergrove Sourdough with a healthy reboot - we've increased the whole wheat (from 10% to 40% whole grains)! Mildly sour, chewy, grainy and versatile for sandwiches, toast or the dinner bread basket. 100% wild culture (no commercial yeast), organic unbleached wheat flour, stone milled whole wheat flour (sustainably grown on small farms & milled on Beck's own granite grist mill). This bread is long fermented and takes us 36 hours to create. We recommend freezing it (slice it first!) if you aren't eating it all in 1-2 days.

This product cannot be shipped, it is for Farmers' Market pick-up only.

Saturdays, 10 am-1 pm, Arcata Plaza

If pouring rain, pick-up at the bakery: Beck's Bakery is located in the Foodworks Culinary Center. Drive around to the back of the building (look for our little red trailer) You'll see our name on the door. Call 707-840-8004 when you arrive.

The Best Ever

Thank you for your attention to detail with your ingredients. The bread is so delicious. I love it toasted with butter. Makes great sandwiches also.

Sourdough Batard rocks

If you want sourdough bread with a bit more heft, this should be your go-to bread. 🥖 Yummy with a dab of butter.

The best toast ever!

We love this bread. It has a great chew, perfectly sour and toasts up amazing in a dry cast iron. For a savory option... Try brushing your slices with olive oil prior to toasting (or grilling) then rubbing with a clove of garlic (after toasted), then top with a slice of tomato and flaked sea salt... it's a dream combo on its own or alongside eggplant involtini! This bread has the best smell... love everything about it! My favorite is to cut off the end piece as soon as we get home and just eat it fresh as is... its that good.

Perfect!

It works well toasted with jam, or broiled as garlic bread.

great bread

Love the chewy texture and taste. It's best toasted with homemade blackberry jam. Love it. Thank you.
