This is our Aldergrove Sourdough with a healthy reboot - we've increased the whole wheat (from 10% to 30% whole grains)! Mildly sour, chewy, grainy and versatile for sandwiches, toast or the dinner bread basket. 100% wild culture (no commercial yeast), organic unbleached wheat flour, stone milled whole wheat flour (sustainably grown on small farms & milled on Beck's own granite grist mill). This bread is long fermented and takes us 36 hours to create. We recommend freezing it (slice it first!) if you aren't eating it all in 1-2 days.
This is available for Farmers' Market pickup:
Saturdays, 9 am-1 pm, Arcata Plaza
If pouring rain, pick-up at the bakery: Beck's Bakery is located in the Foodworks Culinary Center. Drive around to the back of the building (look for our little red trailer) You'll see our name on the door. Call 707-840-8004 when you arrive.
Tastes great toasted with homemade hummus. We usually eat two loaves every week.
My new favorite bread
As usual, can’t hold off on consuming it before we get home!

This new loaf is wonderful! More whole grain, chewy, beautiful texture, and it's the perfect size for sandwiches! We really love it and are so happy to have a new bread to add to our weekly Beck's bread menu.
