Fry's Rye with Pumpkin Seeds
One of our favorites! A dense and tangy European-style rye with pumpkin seeds. It is in the bread family of Vollkornbrots (German/sourdough/all rye). Made with 100% stone ground whole rye and a wild rye culture (no commercial yeast). They get better 24-48 hours after baking. It is yummy enough to eat straight with no toppings! Or you could slice thin and serve with good cheese or a yummy bean spread, pickles, and fresh herbs - delightful!
Loaves weigh approximately 17 oz.
Ingredients: 100% stone ground whole rye flour*, water, pumpkin seeds*, honey, sea salt, wild rye culture. (*organic)
